:O!

This is pretty tight, man! :D It's really 8 bit :O, not my favorite genre, but it has its place haha xD

If you added reverb, and a little delay to the beginning piano, it'd go up like 10x in awesome-ness :D haha.

Nothing is really wrong with this song, for 3-6 hours, this is fucking good :D

Make more, please? :D

Haha peace!

liqourish responds:

all nexus. not much i can do, nexus=100% presets FlOL

....

Haha i got all excited when i noticed the bigger file limit :D.

You did fucking great with this :D haha. it's cool to see you've found your style and are quite comfortable with it. :D

you handled the mastering wonderfully, and you sound extremely professional.

The only problem I have with this, is that it is rather basic (only in melody, the overall structure is complex :D), but its hardly anything to complain about.

If you ever do live shows, come down to the states and i'll rave to all your badass songs!

great job, as always :D

Dj-GST responds:

Fuck yeah, it's awesome :D

Sweet :D Hell yeah, UK Hardcore is awesome :D

Thanks man, I did all sorts of stuff with Fruity Parametic EQ 2, and Fruity Peak Controller.

Yeah, unfortunately the original only had one lead, which is why I switched things up as much as possible :D

I hope to shit that I'll do live shows one day :D Just gotta get signed and learn how to use Dj equipment :P I'll totally come down to the states!

Thanks man!

The drums are obviously the center of this track, and it's good you made them have so much variation, otherwise this track would be extreamly dull.

I would suggest adding a supersaw lead, even if its just a simple repetitive melody, just to make this song not as repetitive, and add some cut off. :O

I would totally agree with you, this is your most professional track, and with minor adjustments, it might even make top five.

Btw, this doesn't really seem as Happy Hardcore, as industrial/jungle beat. haha. I dunno.

Great job man! :D

Dj-GST responds:

Haha yeah, it would :P

Yeah I'll add a melody, maybe not Supersaw, but yeah. I'll add some cut off :)

Top five!? Haha sweet :D

Nah, this is no where close to Industrial or Jungle, but I agree with you that it isn't Happy Hardcore. It sounds like an old Thunderdome track, so I'll change the genre to Rave.

Thanks man :D

:O.

Both of your styles mix wonderfully haha. i love the cutoff use in this, it worked perfectly.

What is this genre called, UK hardcore? Its catchy lol.

The breakdown about 1/3 in was fuckin sweet, and it mixed up the otherwise droning bass :D.

The transition to "HARDCORE MODE" was cool. haha.

You guys have awesome talent :O.

I like how you switched small things up, while keeping true to the original structure.

The BAD:

I dont like the single note bass lines for some reason, i'll attribute it to my liking of House and Trance, where the bass lines are more traditional, but thats just me xD

Also some of the transitions seemed a little forced, but it was overlookable.

I like the automation of the BPM, it was also pretty cool.

On a side note, how's the college for electronic music going? :O

Dj-GST responds:

Haha thanks.

This track is Freeform Hardcore, which is UK Hardcore with a heavy Trance influence.

Thanks, you're pretty talented yourself man :)

Haha yeah, these sorts of genres don't usually have complex basslines. In my next track I'll probably try it out though :D

Unfortunately I wont be attending electronic music college for at least a couple more years, I lost my job a while ago and have nothing saved up right now :( So I'm gonna have to find another job and go to University for something else in the meantime, because the music school I want to go to is in a different city.

Thanks for the ten man :D

I reviewed your track a while ago just so you know :P

Haha this was really catchy, nice use of filters and mastering.

If this doesn't make top five i'm going to commit suicide, cause it's alot more deserving than the shit on there. hahah XD

good job, as always, my friend :D

liqourish responds:

ill make a song towards the death of you! and take my mix of "embers" to the top 5

,,,

I can see your taste in hardcore come out in this. lol. Might want to put a limiter on the intro, so it doesn't get that "crunching" effect. haha.

The transitions were a little rough, but nothing a little practice, and messing with different things wont fix :D

I would suggest adding small bits of delay to your lead, and maybe make it not sound so 8 Bit. but other than that, very nice.

good job :D

RandomDanceOfHappy responds:

i just got nexus 2 :D so exspect much better songs :D and sounds :) but ty! :D still a wip!
ill have to check out this limiter cos ive never used it before XD

It's weird how the cloudy mind has the sharpest ideas haha.

Great job. Loved the feel.

Might get drunk and write more often now xD

Limped responds:

You're tellin' me! haha.

Noice

Sounded really dancey, haha, but had some elements of hard core. Nice and chill too. haha.

The mastering seemed pretty good for a WIP haha. :D

Looking forward for the full song.

Dj-GST responds:

Thanks man :D

I'll send you a message when the full version's done.

...

Crazy!

This is gonna be fucking awesome lol, you've earned yourself a new fan. I like the idea of remixing classical songs, they almost always sound great.

You might want to go with Four on the Floor kind of drums when the supersaw melody comes in, give it just that much more Umph. xD

Otherwise, good job, sounds very eerie.

Randomman4 responds:

Thanks =D Its a bit super repetitive right now, just threw a Midi file in and threw instruments on, plan on making it a bit better though =D

Yo! I'm me, You're you. Now we know eachother. :D I write bad songs. Well, i best be going. Catch ya later!! Peace, dude.
